ORGANIST & ACCOMPANIST
Singer & Performer
Brian regularly gives recitals and plays at concerts both
in Portsmouth and further afield.
Brian is in demand, playing recitals across the country in churches and cathedrals. As an accompanist he is noted for his diversity and approach, from genres as diverse as musical theatre, jazz, rock, as well as classical music.
Brian's work as a performer extends beyond that as a solo recitalist: He has held the position of a Tenor Lay Clerk at St Alban's Cathedral; sung regularly with Portsmouth Cathedral; been a member of several high-profile chamber choirs across London and the Hertfordshire, as well as singing with groups and choirs across the country.
He is regularly in demand as an accompanist - known for his flexibility and adaption to different styles and genres, and his sensitivity in supporting his fellow performers. The ability to be flexible has seen him taking on such different musical endeavours: from playing piano on rock albums; supporting instrumentalists by accompanying demanding post-modern works; realising continuo parts in Baroque works, or as a supporting and effective accompanist for singers - Brian approaches all these with equal enthusiasm and determination.
